The first blog

17 Aug 2019…
Sitting here in front of a laptop and typing whatever comes to my mind. Just started a new blog, I am not even sure how it works or how it will be in future or whether it will be or not. Just the thought came to the mind why not start something where I could just pen down whatever comes in my mind not for others to look and get appraisals but just so that sometime in future I could get back to this and relate ‘Oh, that’s how I used to be!’

Gone are the days of the diary entries. But that was was a great time for sure. Means whatever was close to you, without any second thoughts we just used to scribble that on that diary. It was our best friend in fact more than that. The things we could not have shared with anyone, we used to disclose even those things to the pages of the diary and feel, yes, at least someone is there to hear us out at the end of the day. How does it matters if it never responds back. It was always there to listen at least. And don’t we all really need someone who could just listen to us. Means, someone who doesn’t passes any judgments or says anything but just listens to us for whatever we have got to say the good-the bad-the ugly and even all those things that we ourselves thought were creepy enough to share with any other being. All the stories of our crushes, failed loves, scoldings from parents or anyone, any adventure, any fight, the diary knew it all. More than any person alive it was our diary that knew us. What we used to think, how we used to react to any situation or happening in our life, diary knew it all.

Those were the good old days. It’s not that the diary have died . Its just with this fast moving word now we (or at least me) are so occupied with our smartphones or other modern gadgets that holding a pen and pouring your heart out on some pages just happens in imagination. Even if we happen to write a few pages in a day or two then from the third day it is never continued. So, why not keeping pace with the modern world try hands at blogs. If not more, then it’s no way any less than a diary. You could not only write whatever comes to your mind but could also publish whatever you wish to.
So, here goes my first blog.
Hope I will continue with this at least and someday in future would come back and see this first post of myself and laugh my heart out that what was I even thinking while writing this.
Till then….
Enjoy the ride, love the ending…

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
